“Hi, I’m Hannah”
My name is Hannah. I am a trauma therapist bound to my passion and purpose of providing quality clinical care to my clients. My therapeutic approach is centered on creating a safe and supportive space where you can feel truly heard and understood.
I bring warmth and compassion into each session, ensuring you feel comfortable as we navigate difficult experiences together. At the same time, I believe in being honest and straightforward, offering clear, direct feedback in a way that is constructive and helps you move towards your own goals. This balance of empathy and honesty helps us get to the heart of your healing journey while allowing us to work through challenges with openness and trust. I’m here to guide you with care, but also to gently push when needed to foster growth and deeper self-awareness.
MY CREDENTIALS & TRAININGS
I completed my Bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas in Austin (Hook ‘Em) and my Master's degree in Professional Counseling from Dallas Baptist University.
I have spent my career working across all levels of care in the field of mental health to ensure I can provide the most comprehensive care to my clients. I have experience working in rehabilitation settings, nonprofits, the local crisis line and in private practice. Most recently, I spent the last five years working as the Youth Program Director at a nonprofit providing services for at risk youth and training new therapists and case managers. I am also the Director of Family Advocacy at a Texas Children’s Advocacy Center serving children and families that have experienced abuse.
I am EMDR, TF-CBT and CBT-I trained. I currently sit on the board of Texas Association for Addiction Professionals as the Continuing Education chair. I spend time providing consultations and training to the community and across the nation on complex trauma, cultural humility and competency, DEI initiatives, sex trafficking and BIPOC groups.
OUTSIDE OF THE OFFICE
As a proud native of DeSoto, TX, I hold on to the values instilled in me by my parents, who live life in service to others. I have a close-knit family and cherish those relationships the most. I like to think of myself as a gregarious and well-rounded person who has never met a stranger. My cup is genuinely filled by my relationships with others!
I love to spend time trying new restaurants and visiting new travel destinations with my partner.
